Pet Law and Animal Rights

I have represented several animal rights organizations on a pro bono basis and also represented people involved in dog custody disputes. In addition, I represented someone who was having difficulty with his condo board which wanted his 90 year old mother to give her dog away as pets could not live in the building absent special circumstances. The condo board actually sued the 90 year woman and I was able to obtain a favorable settlement in which she was allowed to keep her dog.

Pet law generally covers pet custody cases, landlord-tenant cases and co-op/condo cases. In addition it can involve advocating for disabled individuals who need their service dogs at work. Based on my expertise in animal law, I was appointed by the President of the New Jersey State Bar Association to serve on its Animal Law Committee.
